In order to facilitate the establishment of French small and medium sized businesses and industries in South East Asia, FBA, the French Business Association of Singapore, initiated in 1990 the project of a French business centre. In 1995, with the contribution of ACFCI, CCIP and UCCIFE, FBC opened its doors.

From the beginning, it has been supported by all of France's foreign trade "partners" and particularly by the Ministry of Industry and Telecommunications.
